One Historic Election

With more than 250 women on congressional ballots in 2018’s historic election, November 6 was guaranteed to be a record-breaking day at the polls. And with the coinciding release of the House of Cards season 6 on Netflix, Claire Underwood also now held the highest office in the nation: our first woman President.

Which is why Netflix partnered with The Atlantic to mark this celebrated election. As the lead creative on the campaign, I helped produce a data visualization tracking tool and other integrated creative across email and social to explore the meaning of this moment and bring attention to the show’s 6th and final season. I also interviewed real-life political experts and wrote about what the future holds for aspiring female officeholders. The campaign produced 6.4x above benchmark page views, 19,442 social interactions, and was nominated for a Digiday Content Marketing award for Best Use of Native Advertising.
